Timber species with a density of 750 kg/m3 or greater

Timber that is in solid, laminated or reconstituted form with a density of 750 kg/m' or greater at 12% moisture content is suitable for construction where specified in Sections 5, 6 and 7.

 

Examples of suitable timber species are listed in Table E1 of AS3959:2018. Densities of timber species not listed in Table El may be found in AS 1720.2.

 

Many of the timber species listed in Table E1 from various regions of Australia may not be

available in all areas.
