Bushfire Management Overlay

The Bushfire Management Overlay (BMO) applies to land that may be significantly affected by extreme bushfires.

 

Whilst development in a Bushfire Prone Area (BPA) may only require a BAL assessment, developments in a BMO may require planning approval by complying with four bushfire protection measures: defendable space (vegetation management), bushfire construction (BAL), static water supply (water tank), and access (driveway construction).
